All of our experiences are with different participants. You can make some new friends and work together to complete the tasks in the experience.

  • For public session,birthday and post experience videos,team name,weapon or avatar selection will belong to one of the guests who created the experience first.

  • To ensure our guests can enjoy the birthday video and the above selections, we recommend a Private session to fulfill your request. Any questions, don't hesitate to contact our staff.

  • Please be aware that when guests participate in our shared experience, you may complete our experience tasks with participants of different nationalities, ages, genders, etc. Once the booking is confirmed, the guests accept the challenge of the above experience, and cannot make any changes.

  • VR experience can not be changed once the booking is confirmed.

We also have exclusive private experiences, you can choose a completely private space to participate in the experience with your friends.

Health & Safety


In short, everyone can see each other as they would in real life. We use real-time motion capture technology that's used for creating movies and games. Our motion capture cameras track your entire body in real time and allows you to see precisely where everyone else is, along with their movements. They just won't look like their normal human selves ;)

Additionally, there are clear boundaries to prevent you from exiting the game area. As long as you pay attention and follow the in-game instructions, it will be safe for you.

While we can’t 100% guarantee it, we've designed our experiences to be very different from other VR experiences you may have tried before: it’s room scale, you can freely move around, and we track your entire body. Motion sickness is caused by a difference between your actual and perceived motion. Because our motion capture technology tracks you in real-time, your real movements translate to your perceived movements. Many of our guests who have had motion sickness in other VR experiences do not experience it at Sandbox VR.

We clean and disinfect all equipment after every use, including the masks on our headsets, headset lenses, haptic vests, and props. Sanitizing our equipment and facilities is always a standard procedure as health, safety, and cleanliness is a priority.

Your mixed reality videos showing your group outside and inside VR are included free of charge!

Sandbox VR reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions without notice. Risk of loss passes to the purchaser of the E-Gift Card upon electronic transmission of the E-Gift Card to the recipient. Sandbox VR prohibits copying or duplications of Sandbox VR E-Gift Cards. Not refundable nor redeemable for cash except to the extent required by law. Sandbox VR E-Gift Cards are not for resale and Sandbox VR reserves the right not to honor E-gift Cards Purchased from third-party sources. Sandbox VR is not responsible for lost, stolen or misused E-Gift Card codes. E-Gift Cards are redeemable at the monetary value.

  • Can I redeem my gift card at any location?

When you purchase a gift card, you can choose the specific location where it can be redeemed. Once the gift card has been purchased, it is valid only at the chosen location. Please make sure to choose the location that is most convenient for the recipient of the gift card.

  • Can I use my gift card on a completed transaction?

You can use your gift card to make a reservation. However, please note that gift cards can only be used for future transactions, and cannot be applied to completed ones. To use your gift card as payment for the remaining balance, simply inform our staff in advance and they will be happy to assist you with the transaction.

  • General Booking

  • Rescheduling of any bookings, will be charged 30% of your booking invoice total amount.

  • Rescheduling within 72 hours in advance of the booking date, will be charged 50% of your booking invoice total amount.

  • Rescheduling within 24 hours in advance of the booking date, will be charged 70% of your booking invoice total amount.

  • Booking with Party Area

  • At least 24 hours notice if due to special circumstances such as illness, accident, etc. and proof can be provided,will be charged 50% of your booking invoice total amount.

  • At least 24 hours notice if not due to special circumstances such as illness, accident, etc and proof can not be provided.All fees of for the Experience part will be charged and Party Area part will be refunded to Gift Voucher

  • All started / overtime sessions are not refundable and reschedulable.

  • All promotion offers will not apply for rescheduled booking.

  • All bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable. Once a booking is confirmed, no refunds or cancellations will be accepted.

Yes, gift cards are valid for 2 years.

If you'd like us to help book a group of more than 6 people, let us know on our Private Events page. You can also make special requests there. All large group or birthday party sessions are private and exclusive experiences, if the number of guest is insufficient, the maximum number of guest in the holodeck will be charged.

Gameplay


Currently, all experiences except UFL are offered in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and Arabic. UFL is only available in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

The default language is currently set to English.

At least 2 and up to 6 guests play together. When you book your experience, the maximum number of players that can play in a given room will be indicated during the booking process. 

All Sandbox VR games are specifically designed to be social experiences, and playing  in groups adds to the fun and excitement.

For groups larger than 6, please see our Parties & Events page. We host many private events, from birthday and bachelorette parties to corporate offsites, and work with a range of budgets and group sizes.

The Experience


It’s the closest thing to the “holodeck” that exists. We combine motion capture with the latest in VR hardware to create the best VR experience on the planet. It’s very different from VR experiences you might have tried at home or at other places. That makes it a real challenge to explain. The only way to truly understand it is to try it for yourself.

We make our own experiences. Some of them are games, others will be adventures, they’ll all be as fun to play as they are to watch. With Sandbox VR, you’re not just transported into new worlds – we want to give you the chance to become the characters in these worlds. That’s something you can’t do anywhere else!

We recommend that you dress in light, comfortable clothing. This is an active experience, so wear something that won’t restrict your ability to move around the space.

Guests must be

  • 8 years or older & 1.2m (48″) or taller (please contact us for more details for any enquiries)

  • Able to walk unassisted for 30 minutes continuously with full use of both hands. Unfortunately, this experience is not currently wheelchair friendly.

  • For guests under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must be physically present in the store during the session to sign a minor waiver form.

  • Emailphone number and date of birth must be provided to ensure that the personal statement can be completed before participating in the experience.

  • We do not recommend this experience to pregnant women or those with heart conditions.

Please plan for a total of about 1 hour (the whole experience is 45 mins) for your Sandbox VR experience consisting of

  • Arrival to check in with your host(ess) 15 minutes prior to your booking time to ensure your Sandbox VR experience does not get cut short

  • This will consist of about 10 minutes of setup and tutorial

  • About 30 minutes in the VR experience

  • Another 5 minutes post-booking reliving your experience with cinematic video highlights with your team as the stars!

You must check in at the store with the store host(ess) 15 minutes prior to your booking time. We cannot start until your whole party is present. Please account for traffic, parking, and time it takes to walk to store from parking when planning arrival. 

  • No-shows will incur automatic cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of payment

  • Guests who arrive less than 5 minutes late for the booking time, the experience will be shortened

  • To ensure our other guest booking are not impacted, any tardiness beyond 5 minutes will result in a cancellation of your booking.Your deposit will be forfeited.

We recommend that you wear contact lenses as needed, as VR glasses may not be suitable for all styles and sizes of eyeglass frames.

Typhoon & Extreme Conditions Policy


Sandbox VR prioritizes your safety and enjoyment during your visit to our facility. 

  • We remain open during T1 or T3 typhoons and Amber or Red rain warnings, but will close if a T8 ,Black Rainstorm Warning and Extreme Conditions is issued.

  • If the Signal is lowered or canceled before 4 p.m., we will return to work within 2 hours and our staff will contact you to rearrange your booking. If it's after 4 p.m. ,all sessions are canceled ,we'll contact you to reschedule and all bookings must be confirmed within 1 month.
